Chamber Crusader Beta: New boss, new enemy, everything unlocked!


I'm back with more content to bring you extra fun after a short break (I am human, you know!). Family is very important after all!

Changes

  • All characters and maps are unlocked at the start to make the full game more accessible (sorry for anyone working hard to unlock everything)
  • Character descriptions
  • Death animations for enemies fixed
  • New boss in the blood zone!
    • Thrombus: A giant levitating onion which teleports and shoots psychic beams
    • Fight it in room 20
    • Takes little damage from ranged weapons but normal damage from melee weapons
    • Slows the player down and disables abilities which increase mobility
  • New enemy in the desert!
    • Anubis: An ancient Egyptian jackal god of death
    • Deflects projectiles
    • Has a big (literally) attack animation
  • Enemy nerfs
    • Health for all enemies (except bosses) has been decreased
    • Decreased skeleton speed 
    • Decreased number of units spawned by the skeleton from 3 to 2
    • You can now hit ghosts through walls
  • Controls menu option in the main menu
  • Controls menu
  • Decreased the knight's movement speed
  • Blood sludges (generic ranged enemies in the blood zone) now shoot boomerang shots
  • Nerfed fireworks
    • Increased cooldown from 10 to 15 seconds
    • Increased delay between firework shots 
  • Death animation for the chain snake

Fixes

  • The soldiers remote bomb: fixed glitch where it gets placed down immediately after its previously detonated

Fixes to come

  • Turning off player abilities after death
  • More game balancing
  • Fix hitboxes
  • Fix blood puddles not causing the player to slip and instead blocking movement

Changes to come

  • New boss in the desert
  • Boss music for Thrombus and the new desert boss
  • Perhaps a new character and new map
  • UI revamp
  • Weapons will have blood/sludge when hitting and killing enemies
  • Death animation for Thrombus
  • Game almanac
